Parent Involvement

Parents are the first educators of their children. It is evident that families have a major influence on their children's achievement at all stages of life. Parental involvement in the early education of their child is essential to their development. Such involvement is beneficial to both parents and children, as it builds on children's knowledge and helps to improve parenting skills.

Parents are an essential resource in any childcare setting. Children need a variety of positive learning experiences provided in a loving and secure environment to achieve their full potential. In all our settings, we aim to support parents and welcome their involvement. Parents are encouraged to participate in all activities with their child.

We welcome and encourage parents to:

  • Experience our Babies and Toddlers interactive learning environment that encourages exchanging ideas and information. Using the British EYFS framework, the teachers will advise you on how to help your child at school and home.
  • Explore and observe what your child is doing and see how he or she learns through play.
  • Talk to our teachers and the Head of Babies and Toddlers and tell us more about your child and your needs.
  • Learn and discover new tips for parenting and caregiving.
  • Explore our noticeboard aimed for parents and accompanying adults outlining the activities of each class, how you as an adult can help enhance that activity and key questions and vocabulary to consider using for this activity.
